Well I have started 2014 by adding some Lloyds ( LLOY:LN) to my starter portfolio.

And yes another addition to the Portfolio that has done nothing to alleviate the issue of diversification, but in my opinion I have opened up another gateway to growth potential.  Probably a slow burner but I am reasonably confident that over a couple of years there will be some value in there.

The addition is small in terms of the overall portfolio but all being well I will hopefully either spit this out entirely or take another larger nibble if my confidence grows (and the results follow).
